Hendrick COVID-19 Update
All Hendrick manufacturing locations are continuing to operate. We are pleased to be able to continue to support critical industries defined by the Department of Homeland Security (http://www.cisa.gov/critical-manufacturing-sector ). Our products are essential for these industries to continue to support our country during these challenging times. Specifically related to COVID-19, the Department has defined critical manufacturing workers as “Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operation of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services, and the defense industrial base”. Our products are essential for many of these industries and we will continue to support our country during these challenging times.
In Pennsylvania, Hendrick Manufacturing will continue normal operations in accordance with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Executive Order. In its Industry Operation Guidance revised March 20, 2020, Hendrick is operating under the category of “Steel product manufacturing from purchased steel.” Our steel products are being used to support many essential industries noted in the Operation Guidance including but not limited to Food Production, Medical Equipment, Pharmaceutical Production, Truck Transportation, and Agricultural Equipment. More detail on some of the critical products that support essential industries in the US will be provided (to be posted here soon).
In Illinois, Hendrick Metal Products is also continuing normal operations in accordance with Illinois Governor’s Executive Order as an Essential Business under Section 12T of the order “Manufacture, distribution, and supply chain for critical products and industries”. We provide products for food manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, steel products, transportation, communication and energy. These industries are all detailed in section 12T. More detail on some of the critical products that support essential industries in the US will be provided (to be posted here soon).
In Kentucky, Hendrick Screen Company continues normal operations in accordance with Kentucky Governor’s Executive Order 2020-257 regarding the closure of all in person retail businesses that are not life-sustaining. Those businesses identified as not life-sustaining are included in the Executive Order. Hendrick Screen Company is a manufacturer of products for the Industrial Filtration, Architectural, Mining & Agriculture, Water Intake & Water Treatment, Pulp & Paper, Petrochemical, Food & Beverage and Fish Diversion markets.
At all our Hendrick locations, while Hendrick is proud to be able to provide such important products to our country, the health and safety of our employees and their families is paramount. In light of the current medical crisis that our world is facing, be assured that Hendrick has adopted CDC recommendations in the workplace which includes areas such as social distancing, deep cleaning, frequent cleaning of “touch” points in the workplace and enabling work from home where available.
